The thermometer inside the Turtle is measuring your baby’s external skin temperature (not their core body temperature). During our research and testing we initially showed this as a number. However, we found that parents became confused with this number as it is not their baby’s internal temperature.
As a solution, we collated this data and came up with an algorithm to show users a temperature range. That range is not hard-coded as specific Fahrenheit or Celsius equivalent, as a lot of that algorithm depends on your baby's specific experience, coupled with some global data developed during our years of research.
